Administrative history
The Mainbrace was the club for the University of Calgary support staff. Opened in 1988, it was located on the fourth floor of the MacEwan Hall expansion. It was planned to make available tables for staff to eat their lunches at, pool tables, dart board, shuffleboards, and a televsion. The University Club (The Faculty Club) eventually expanded to take over the Mainbrace area. The University Club's The Pub and The Cafe are presently in the old Mainbrace location.
