Administrative history
Rundle and Kananaskis Residences were built in 1962, followed in 1983 by Norquay, Brewster and Castle Halls. The Residences have partial student government under the Residence Complex Council (RCC) which is the legislative body for all matters of conduct and discipline. The Council operates through a cooperative management approach with input from student government and University administrators. The Council is responsible for formulating and publishing all rules and regulations for conduct and discipline, except those relating to administration, finance, physical safety, cleanliness and maintenance of buildings. The Council is composed of a President, representatives from all residences acting as VP's and Floor Chairman of each residence. In 1969, the resident students published a newsletter called "The Empty Womb", in order to facilitate communication, disseminate information and act as a forum for residence students.
