In 1989, the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education was formed. It included the Office of the Associate Dean (Education) which had previously been independant. The Undergraduate Medical Education Program strives to be an innovative and progressive program, provide an environment that fosters collegiality, facilitate the acquisition of clinical problem solving skills, prepare students to remain competent throughout their career, maintain an active learning environment, and communicate clear performance expectations.

Fonds consists of course outlines and handouts, correspondence, reports, calendars, minutes, policy manual, student records, documents for undergraduate courses offered from 1989-2003, and records from the Building Committee, Audio-Visual Committee, Calgary Ambulatory Care Centre (CACC), University of Calgary Medical Clinic (UCMC), and the Heritage Medical Research Centre (HMRC).
