Consists of handwritten field notes kept by John C. Ewers (Associate Curator of Ethnology at the Smithsonian Institution)while visiting the Blood reserve in southern Alberta. His informants were Tom Spotted Eagle, Adam White Man, Frank Red Crow, Percy Creighton, and Cecile Black Boys. Topics include Blackfoot artifacts held by the Museum of the Plains Indian, modern Blackfoot crafts, bands and chiefs, and sports and games.<br>The originals are held by the National Anthropological Archives of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC, and have been published here courtesy of this institution.
