Group '67 was an experimental group established in 1965 with a 3 year mandate to enable meaningful student-staff discussions on serious matters of mutual concern. Organized by Clive Cardinal (now of Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies) and Sergei Rosval, it existed from 1965 to 1968 for the purpose of establishing an atmosphere of creative disputation on campus. The format was varied: unstructured meetings of large groups of students, talks given by students and faculty members or visiting scholars for the East or Europe. Topics ranged from social, political, literary and spiritual issues.
