Biographical history
Dave Smiley worked as a television producer for CBC TV in the 1960s.
Custodial history
In approximately 1968 Dave Smiley produced a program pertaining to the history of baseball. To create the program, he copied the photographs from John E. Ducey's, a former baseball empire in Alberta, personal collection of photographs.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of 230 negatives featuring baseball teams, players, coaches and umpires in Alberta dating from 1900 to the 1940s acquired from John E. Ducey's collection.
