Biographical history

The Cremona Rodeo Committee organized its first rodeo in 1949. The rodeo was held next to the Little Red Deer River, 2 km north of Cremona, Alberta and a dance followed at the Cremona Hall. In 1950 the rodeo was certified by the Cowboys' Protective Association (the predecessor to the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association) and became part of the official rodeo circuit. The following year the rodeo reverted to a purely local event. It continued as an annual event until at least 1952.
