Biographical history
Arthur Reid Lawrence, affectionately known as "Pop" Lawrence was a prominent figure in early Edmonton sports circles. He came to Edmonton in 1908 with his family, including daughters, Juanita and Jasmine. He operated the Bijou Theatre for six years and then worked for the city's Water Works department. Lawrence helped organize the Alberta Branch of the Women's Amateur Athletic Federation in 1929 and was the chair of the Alberta Amateur Union's track and field committee.

The fonds consists of materials collected or created by Arthur Lawrence and consists of various sports trophies and plaques, a scrapbook on the Edmonton Grads American tour 1926, other Edmonton Grads memorabilia, other sports mementos, music sheets, and files on the Bijou (Rialto) Theatre.
